Georgette L. Habershan (nee Schneider), 85, of Tappan, died Thursday at Nyack Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Charles R. Habershan, who died in 1967. Devoted mother of Richard B. Riker and his wife Lisa of Tappan. Loving grandmother of Bernadette, Bruce and Jason. Great-grandmother of the late Richard Anthony Riker. Mrs. Habershan was a graduate of Tappan Zee High School in Piermont. She worked for Texaco in NYC for 15 years and then was a secretary for Federal Paper Board in Piermont and Montvale for 29 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, #371, Sparkill, where she was Past Matron. She was past Treasurer of the American Legion Auxiliary and past Secretary of the Piermont Senior Citizens, and belonged to Christ Episcopal Church, Sparkill. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10 AM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (845-359-2323) with Interment to follow in Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill. Visiting hours Friday evening 7-9 PM.
