Doreen Suzanne Nelson, on September 24, 2006, of Blauvelt, NY. Born March 25, 1970, loved and most adored daughter of Addie and Roy Nelson who are thankful for the gift of Doreen in their lives. She leaves behind her cherished son, Eric E. Schirner Jr. along with her brother Robert and his wife Stacy and brother David. She also leaves behind her most devoted and loved best friend, Michael Tirri. Doreen also leaves behind her aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss her dearly. Through her long and courageous battle with juvenile diabetes, her journey has been long with her loved one's always at her side. She has given strength to all those she loved so much. Doreen graduated from Tappan Zee High School in 1988 and Berkeley College. She was employed at UPS in Mahwah, NJ as administrator for 15 years until her illness made it necessary to stop working. She was kind, generous and a very loving and caring person, her infectious laugh will remain with us always. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, 10 am, at St. Catharine's Church in Blauvelt, NY with a private cremation to follow. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan, NY.
