Mr. Edmund W. Hennessy, 68, of Tappan, NY and Hillsboro, FL, died on May 9, 2003. He was born in New York City to Francis X. and Louise Neary Hennessy on September 17, 1934. Mr. Hennessy attended the St. Agnes School in Sparkill and graduated Tappan Zee High School in Piermont, NY in 1935, in which he was unanimously voted 'All County' in football. During 1953 to 1955, he served in the US Army. Mt. Hennessy was a member of the American Legion in Northvale, NJ and recently of Deerfield, FL. He was also past President of the Tappan Volunteer Fire Association and a member of the Blue Hill Golf Club. He is survived by his wife Gail; his daughter Jill Anson and her husband Edwin; his four grandchildren Maureen, Sheila, Julie and Kevin; his brother Donald and his wife Janet; his sister Jeanne Davis; his mother-in-law Pauline McKernan and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Sunday and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday.
