Before Graduation in 1955 I trained after school at what is now Orange & Rockland Utilities and was permanently employed there on 6/30/55. I advanced from meter estimator to bill clerk and Assistant Rate Statistician. 1966 "retired".

Became engaged to Leo Hogan from Haverstraw in 1962. We married in June 1963 after he finished his Naval Tour in the Antarctic. (South Pole)

We have a son, Steve, born 1971. He's a bachelor (forever he says). He works for Panarama, a private flight service at Westchester County Airport. He loves it.

Leo was appointed to the Town of Haverstraw Police Department in June of 1964. His positive thinking and interest in his work, his advancements to Sgt and Lieutenant made me proud to be his wife.

We've traveled different ways up and down the east coast, camping style and by motorcycle (big Honda Gold Wing touring bike). We've flown east to Bermuda and west to Maui. Arizona was one of my most favored places to visit.

Since 1997 we have been traveling by boat (ours named the Judy Ann). One of our major trips was the Erie Canal, which was a great learning experience. Next trip, Montauk. Rough waters really made that an experience. The following year, off to Connecticut River, Essex Island Marina. Great trip. Other weekend trips in the Catskills and NY Harbor marinas.

In 2003 Leo and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in Hyannisport and Martha's Vineyard, via car. Ways I kept busy was working part time. For 10 years I worked at RCC in the fall and spring helping students evaluate their instructors. It was fascinating working among the college students.

These days I go boating, swim, read, cook (?) "Make Reservations", bowl, walk and travel. Leo, he disappears to a golf course somewhere. He retired in 1996 after 32 years in the police department.

Last but not least, as of November 1989 I am a SURVIVOR. It gives a new meaning to life.
