Five days after graduation in 1956 I was in the US Navy. After 3 months of boot camp I attended the Naval School of Music.
After the service I was married on 4/23/60 to Marge Galgano, a Nyack graduate. Lived in Sparkill, NY until buying a home in Monroe, NY where we raised 2 beautiful girls, Julie and Lori. We lived there for some 21 years. In 1981 Marge and I got a very friendly divorce and as of today we still talk and see each other very often.
Was remarried 9/11/82 to Mary Ann Carleo, a beautiful lady in more ways than one, whom I met while playing a gig in Pomona, NY where we live today. We own a ranch home on 1.25 acre of land with a beautiful in ground pool that helps keep two old fogies in some kind of shape.
In total we have 7 grandchildren, 4 girls 3 boys. Because of our pool we get to spend alot of time with them during the warmer months. They are our pride and joy.
As for employment I was Director of Purchasing for some 20 years for 4 different companies during my first marriage. During my second marriage I owned two different businesses.
I retired in February of 2000 and now just devote my time to playing my trumpet. Started playing at the age of 10 and at 68 still playing. I belong to 2 concert orchestras, 3 marching bands, 1 big band orchestra and presently have my own 6 piece combo for various affairs.
Mary Ann and I love to travel. For many years we enjoyed cruising to Europe and all through the Caribbean. In 2001 we purchased a place in Mexico where we now go every year.
We are blessed with great family ties on both sides and that's what our lives are all about.
